After a 17 year career, and 3 Stanley Cup Championships, Chris Osgood has announced his retirement.
TSN released an article discussing the possibility of Osgood going to the HHOF. Here's the article in it's entirety http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=372041
Here are a few key points they offered up:
3 Stanley Cups
10th all-time in wins by a goaltender
50 shutouts
2.49 career gaa
2nd most wins in Red Wing history (behind hall of famer Terry Sawchuk)
Personally, I think everybody will give his team credit for his career. He does not, and probably never will, get the respect that he deserves. I don't see him making the HHOF until a guy like Barrasso gets in.
